2006 Codie Award Finalist

I usually don’t talk much about my “real job” here on my personal blog, but I just couldn’t resist posting this exciting bit of news.  iCentera icSuite has been selected as a finalist in the 2006 SIIA CODiE awards in the Best Customer Relationship Solution!  This is one of the largest tech awards of the year, and we are in good company with the likes of Salesforce.com and Maximizer Enterprise.  Interesting to note that we are not really a CRM solution but more of a content management solution, not sure what the judges were thinking there.

My contributions to the project have been mostly in the User Interface department, but I hope to get furthur under the hood later this year.  As a smaller startup company, it is exciting to see our product up against software juggernauts like Salesforce.com.  Even if we don’t win this year, it is a significant achievement to be listed here as one of the top five CRM solutions in 2006.  The 50 hour work weeks might actually be paying off!  Now if only I could find a couple of hours to work on Plogger.
