In the interest of my own cultural enrichment, I will be gnashing through the chains that invisibly connect myself to my desk with the tenacity of an agitated beaver. In only three days, a large metal aircraft will safely transport my girlfriend and I off toward Iceland, with one good Atlantic Ocean’s length between me and my computer.
After Iceland, we slide into Amsterdam for some sleazy red light adventures, then we will slither on down to Paris for a few days of pungent French cheese, take a sleeper to Barcelona for the Catalan experience, Trek up the Swiss Alps in a very small car, and slide down the boot into the beautiful Italian cities of Florence and Rome for some of the most authentic pizza we will ever eat. ever. After all that adventure, we’re catching a flight to Copenhagen to see our Danish friends Jacob Loeve and Jasleen Kaur, of Plogger fame.
If any of you fine Europeans would like to take in two complete strangers while showing them the best time of their lives, please drop me a line. We are two perfectly harmless Americans with none of that loud, aggressive arrogance and fundamentalist right wing quackery our government has so gracefully cultivated over the last 50 years. If you can’t take us in, then a recommendation for a good hostel would be equally appreciated!
These are the cities we will be traveling trough from June 16th to July 10th: Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Geneva, Bern, Interlakken, Arezzo, Florence, Rome, Copenhagen.
So, needless to say, activity around here will be pretty slow for the next month. Hopefully Ryan will have finished his schooling so he can finally get to work on the Plogger Plugin for Wordpress he promised. Anti has also been picking up the slack lately, completely implementing “selectable thumbnails” for the next release of Plogger.
Hopefully these guys will hold down the fort while I’m gone. We have a bunch of new features coming for the v1.0 release to address all the user requests and ideas we have for the software. It should be an interesting summer!
