Good Karma

I’d like to think that without my mp3 player I’d drown in a sea of boredom on my daily trek to the University. Miles and miles of urban scenery come to life when accompanied by my own personal radio station. I’ve had a Rio Karma for over a year now and it has suffered through unimaginable amounts of abuse and rigorous travel. I have to say, this is one tough little device. I’ve dropped it straight on the pavement no less than three times. The last time, I even dragged the thing face down along the cement sidewalk from a moving bicycle, tethered to my ears by my headphone cord.

It looks pretty ragged after the abuse I’ve put it through, but the tunes keep playing. It better, considering that Rio doesn’t even manufacture a damn carrying case to go with the thing. I just noticed today that you can get one of these players, with 20gb of storage, for less than $200.00. This is over $100 less than I bought it for so I consider that an excellent deal. If you’re in the market for an mp3 player and don’t want to jump on the white ear-bud bandwagon, I give the Karma my highest recommendations.
